Eco Resources

We've got plenty of ways to help you find out everything you need to know about your school: how much stuff is wasted, how much is recycled, how much energy and water (and fuel for transport to and from) is used, how many appliances (like laptops and projectors) are turned and left on.

We've also got all the tools you need to build a picture of your school in daily action. The Eco Calculator is somewhere to input all the facts and figures; the Flash calculator brings it all to life in an animated onscreen version of your school. There are also loads of other activities and fact sheets to make your Eco design journey as fun as possible.

It's up to you how many of these 'other' activities, if any, you do.  Basically, they are designed as fun, starter sessions for the various themes, so maybe just choose which seem most fitting for your class, subject or timetable.

If you have any requests that you think would be helpful to your class please let us know.

Drag and drop classroom planner

How many lightbulbs, sinks and overhead projectors are in your school? Download our drag and drop tool to help you work it out.

Eco Calculator

Use the Eco Calculator to record the measurements you make around your school. Below there is a document for teachers showing how to use the Eco Calculator and where to find the information required.

Eco Flash Calculator

Once you've completed the Eco calculator, use this Flash calculator, input the final figures from the Eco calculator and see the impact of your school.

You will need to download a free piece software called Flash to use the Eco Flash Calculator. At least Version 7 is needed. If you do not have Flash installed or have an older version, please download the latest version of Flash here.
