Friday 9th July saw the final of the Dott Cornwall Eco Design Challenge Awards hosted at Tremough Campus, Penryn by Cornish education consultant Will Coleman.

The awards are almost upon us (this coming Friday) and all the final preparations are underway with Circo Kernow (above) performing at Tremough on the day.

Due to the judges' descision being so difficult last week they put through six finalists instead of the five originally planned. This means that it has been necessary to change the schedule slightly.

Not to alarm any of you, more a gentle reminder that you have less than two days until the deadline: 1700hrs on Friday 25th June.

The Green Energy Village at the 2010 Royal Cornwall Show, in a collaboration between Cornwall Development Company and Dott Cornwall is a showcase for the green energy suppliers of Cornwall. Dott is getting in on the action with three days of conversations about Green Business, Green Education and Green Family. The stand has its own Facebook® page @ Green Energy Village 2010

On April 15 Rogiet Primary, this year's winner in the BREEAM award schools category, installed its crowning glory - a giant turbine which will power the building. The 210-place school received a BREEAM excellent rating, with an overall score of 78.2% under the ranking system, the highest for any school building.

The Falmouth Energy Week conference 2010 will bring together key speakers and delegates from industry, government, NGOs, academia and community leaders operating at a national, regional and local level. The conference is a forum at which progressive energy policy within the UK can be debated and explored.

Hello there from Eco HQ!

So today is finally here and we're looking forward to receiving you Eco Design Briefs and calculator information.

We understand that the beginning of this term hasn't exactly been plain sailing and you may well be having to cover a load of teachers still stranded on the other side of the world!
By our count, Humphry Davy School holds the record with SIX teachers missing still and another member of support staff too!

Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. The Earth Day Network said today that they hope to involve 1.5 billion people in 190 countries in activities hosted by 19,000 different organisations.
